Sometimes in our lives, we reach the limit of what we know and can provide for ourselves, and our familiar ways of responding just don't seem to be working for us anymore. At those times, talking to someone outside your circle of family and friends can be enormously valuable and can lead to new and creative ways of being.
I offer short-term and long-term psychotherapy for adults of all backgrounds in a respectful, caring and confidential atmosphere. I work in a collaborative, relationship-focussed way to assist you in your journey.
Areas of Interest:
- Depression, anxiety and stress
- Life transitions
- Spiritual crisis and spiritual emergence
- Relationship issues
- Sexuality and sexual identity
- Grief and loss
- Trauma and abuse
My previous work background includes resource management, community development and dispute resolution, so I bring a breadth of work and life experience to my psychotherapy practice.
What is Psychosynthesis?
Psychosynthesis is a psychospiritual psychology founded by Dr Robert Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist in the early 1900s. He sought to expand on the pathology-based practices of his time and began to integrate Western analytic depth psychology and Eastern meditative ‘height’ psychology into a comprehensive approach to human growth and development.
